The Fun Easter (almost)

Today we picked a new poem.  The poem is We had a Field Trip Yesterday.  Today we picked a new chapter book.  It is called Vampires DO Hunt Marshmallow Bunnies.  It is 77 degrees out today.

The Assembly

We got iPads.  We got to do subtraction or counting money.  In our chapter book, we finished Peril at the Pyramid.  It was good.  Today we had an assembly about lots of animals.  It was very very fun.  In Science we are learning what a food chain is.  We made one of our own.  It was fun.  David did calendar.  Brooklyn did show and tell.  She brought a fake dog.  It was funny.  It sang.

Second Grade Rocks on the Interlude Dance!!!!!

Sharing about the Weekend

People were sharing about their weekends.  We learned the word habitats.  Today is Rachael's birthday.  Lauren brought her pillow, Dalton brought his cars, and Rachael brought her stuffed animal for show and tell.  We are making clay pots in Art.

Pocorn Time!

We are learning about gravity.  Gravity is something that pulls you down.  We are learning about inches, yards, and feet.  Today Dalton made funny things in Calendar.  On our window is popcorn.  It says, "Words that POP!"  Today we got popcorn and cookies.  We got another handful of popcorn.

Today in Science

Today we learned about weight on the planets. We would be different weights because of gravity.  Today we saved words when we were doctors.  We cut up sentences and put commas in them to make them better.  We played a game about measuring.  It was fun doing it.

Wednesday Blog: The Big Art Show

In the morning we had show and tell. Gabe and Kaleigh shared. We saw a picture on the SMARTBoard.  It was a toad.  After that, we did a dance.  There was a big art show.  There was a lot of paintings.

In School Today We . . .

Today we read three books about force and motion.  They were called Fun with Magnets, Force and Motion, and Exploring Motion and Force.  On the third round of small groups we got popcorn.  We didn't know what it was for.  Today we had a test.  Soon in Math we will be learning about length.

What We Learned About

In Science, we are learning about gravity.  Tomorrow we are going to do a test in Math.  Today was show and tell and Lauren's baby was very very very funny.  It was doing a lot of words.  Today was the book swap.  Wednesday is the Big Art Show.

Today in the morning we did the Science Word Wall.  The word wall words were pull, push, friction, gravity, and force.  Today is Angel's last day at school.  We will miss him.

Today was a Fun Day

We learned if we have more details to do we can do spider legs.  You write more on another piece of paper, cut it out, and then you tape it on and put an arrow to where it should be.  Tomorrow is  Angel's last day at our school.  Saturday he's moving to Mexico, and we will miss him.

We watched a video about force and motion.  We read about fast and slow motion.  We ran on the track in P.E.  In Math we did fractions.

What We Did Today

In Science we are learning about force and motion.  It is fun.  We watched two videos about force and motion.  Force is a push or a pull.  In Math we are learning about fractions.  We read a story called Nutik the Wolf Pup.  Nutik, the Wolf Pup's author wrote The Owl in the Shower.  In music we are practicing our songs for our spring concert.  We are going to sing Disney songs and a High School Musical song too.  It is 81 degrees outside.

At the Care Center

Today we went to the Care Center and we got to read to the people that were there.  We went on the bus, and the person who was in the bus was Mike.  Mike gave us a ride to the Care Center, and it was so fun at the Care Center.  On Friday we don't have school because we have a vacation.

Fun Times with Mr. Johnson

In Science we made a big track.  Lauren was in charge of the tape, and Kaleigh was in charge of the marble.  In Guidance we hid from Mr. Johnson.  We said, "Surprise!  Happy Birthday!"  Then we did "Cha, cha, cha," to Mr. Johnson.  Today is Mr. Johnson's birthday.  We are reading There's an Owl in the Shower.  We had a Math test.  We said, "Bring it on!" Tomorrow we are going to the Care Center to read.

We had Fun in Science

In Science we were in groups.  We were seeing who could get the marble in the cup three times in a row.  We used white tracks, and the marble had to go across the room, and land in the cup.  The tracks were both close to being the same.

Today was a Fun Day

Today we waited for calendar.  Kaleigh was the Calendar Helper.  We also did rotations in Math.  Today we went to the library.  The guest reader was Pat Lunz.  She read If I Ran the Zoo. She did a super job.  In Science we got in groups and made tracks to try to move the marble.

Today was Dr. Seuss's birthday.  At lunch we had cake.  Today was also bring your stuffed animal to school day.  We had lots of fun with our stuffed animals.  We went to Mrs. Schlickbernd's class and watched a Dr. Seuss movie.  In Library we learned about Dewey the cat and read a book about him.

In Math we learned about symmetry.  We also painted our earths.  Tomorrow is Dr. Seuss's birthday.  We did speech bubbles.  It had me and Lauren on it.
