Monday's Blog

Today we had a new girl in our class.  Her name is Jocelyn.  We had Math.  In Math we learned some new words.  They are reflection, translation, and rotation.  Then we had recess.  I played tag with a lot of people.  After recess it was P.E.  Mr. Wendte was gone so Miss Brookhouser was filling in.  We made our plans for the afternoon.  Then we washed our hands and went to lunch.  The lunch was hamburgers, french fries, and some other stuff.  We had Language Arts Block.  I did other  so I could work on the blog.  Then after recess we played with the iPads.  We went to an app with blank paper that we could type on.  Time really did fly by.  We had small groups.  We had 22 minutes of it, and then we could have free time.  We got the iPads.  We went to an app with instruments.  We made a music band.  We packed up and went home.

Roxy's half-birthday is in two days.

Wednesday's Blog

Today we did the Health Run and Calendar.  We did Show and Tell.  We did our Math test.  We chose gum or mints.  It was fun.  Then we saw a football player.  It was COOL.  Then we went to recess.  Then we went to P.E.

Today in Math we did fractions.  Fractions are shapes.  Then we went to recess.  In Science we tried to finish our pictures.  Our pictures are about where animals live.  Some animals live in oceans and forests.

Tuesday's Blog

Today we ran in the Health Run.  After the Health Run we signed out, then we did Calendar.  Andrea was the calendar helper.  After Calendar we did Math.  In Math we did our daily rotations and our math packet.  Then we had recess.  I played tag with a lot of people I think.  It was really fun.  After recess we had music. In Music we learned about brass, woodwind, and percussion.  We will probably learn about string instruments on Thursday.  After Music Mrs. Scott read us Ramona the Pest.    It was a good book.  Then we had lunch.  It was teriyaki chicken, applesauce, carrots, eggroll and milk.  It was really good.  After lunch we had recess.  I played tag with a lot of people.  Then we had three rotations.  They were fun.  Mrs. Scott is our substitute.  We watched Popcorn Park in Guidance.  We had Writer's Workshop.  It was fun.  Then we did Science.  We worked out our mural.  I was with Ryan and Kasey.  It was fun.  Kasey and I and some other kids went to the library for books.  Then we did round 4.  It was fun.  I worked on my blog.  We had three recesses today.  They were all fun.  Wednesday is my half-birthday.  I am bringing brownies.  I am super excited.  Today, Makenna, Ryan, and Eliseo did Show and Tell after calendar.

Things We Did

Today we did Math.  In Math, we used Geoboards.  We used them for making congruent shapes.  Then we had recess.  At recess I played tag with Walker, Kenna, Makenna, Caleb, Tryden, and Anthony. 

Parent-teacher conferences are in 13 days.

Today in Math we learned about making other shapes.  In Writing we started a project.  We had to write what you would do if you were Martin Luther King, Jr.  The ticket out was, "What do you think you are going to do after school?"

We did show and tell.  Makenna went first and Ryan went second.  For Math we needed our Math Journals and pencil.  We went outside at 10:00.  Outside I played "Flush the Toilet."

We did Health Run and Calendar.  Calendar was fun.  We did Show and Tell.  We did Math.  It was fun.  We had recess, then we had Music.  Then we had read aloud.  We are reading Ramona the Pest.  Howie didn't give the ribbon that Miss Binney put on Ramona's bunny back to Ramona.  They got into an argument.  The mothers were too busy talking to hear.  I don't know how the mothers didn't hear that!  Then we had lunch and recess.

Tomorrow is the 100th day of school!

In the morning we did the Health Run.  We did Calendar.  In Calendar we did straws and money and student helpers.  We did talking time.  We learned estimating sums.  It was fun.  We did our first rotations, and second and third rotations.  We went to recess.  We played basketball.  It was fun.  We went to P.E.  In P.E. we did push ups and sit ups.  We played Rabbits and Wolves.  Me and Fatima and Tryden won.  We read Ramona the Pest.  It is a funny book.  We washed our hands for lunch.  Today lunch was beef nacho sauce and apple juice.  We went to our second recess.  It was inside recess.  It was fun.  We did Language Arts Block.  Then we went to recess.  It was fun.  Then we went to Art.  In Art we played a game.  One of them was Andy Warhol.  It was a hard game.  It still was a fun game.  Then we got milk.  We did milk count.  There was no snack today.  We did Writer's Workshop.  We could not talk for five minutes.

We did the Health Run.  We had show and tell.  Mr. Johnson had a game on the SMARTBoard for us to figure out.  It was called "Round Each Number."  I played sumdog.com in Math.  All of us played "Zap" when we were waiting for recess to come.  I played tag.  It was fun.  Then we had Music. Our class and Mrs. Schlickbernd's class learned a new song.  We had read aloud.  Mr. Johnson read Ramona the Pest.  Today's lunch was chicken sandwiches, lima beans, pears, and baby carrots.  Then we had Language Arts Block.  Then it was our last recess.  It was indoors because it was raining.  So I played basketball with people. After that we went to Library.  Today's snack was ranch and cucumbers.  I was working on my blog for writing and everyone else was taking writing out of their writing folders.  We packed up and went home.

It was fun.  After the Health Run we did Calendar.  Today was Jack's half-birthday.  We did Math.  It was really fun.  In Math rotations when we were in Mr. Johnson's group we played a game.  After Math we had recess.  It was fun.  After recess we we had P.E.  In P.E. we did an obstacle.  We got timed the first time and the second time we were not timed.  After P.E. we did read aloud.  We read Ramona the Pest.  Then we went to lunch.  For lunch it was barbeque meatballs and mac-and-cheese.  After lunch we had recess.  It was fun.  After lunch recess we did Language Arts block.  That is when we do different things in different rounds.  Then we finished African American Inventors.  After that we had third recess.  In Critical Thinking we played three games.  After Critical Thinking we did Writing.  In Writing we fixed some of our stories.  Then we did Science.  We put a clicker about 30 cm away from our ear.  Then we clicked.
