Crazy Sock Day, by Jaden

These are the kids in our class that did this event..  Lane, Ryan, Mahlik, Cael, Alexia, Hadley, Gracyn, Colt Lynn, Erica, Ruben, and Brandon.  The event is Crazy Socks.  Theirs are great choices of socks.

Thursday is crazy or amazing hair day.  Friday is wear blue day.   I am proud of Ruben today because he ran hard in the health run and he got a trophy.

Hat Day, by Aleigha

Today is Hat Day.  Some of the kids wore hats.  That will be the kids that remembered and knew.  In my math group Eduardo made a rocket ship, and Gracyn made a a cockroach.  In round 2 for reading I met with Mrs. Kluthe and we're fixing some words that I misspelled.  In writer's workshop we celebrated Mayte's birthday.  She passed out cookies.

Wednesday is crazy socks day.  Thursday is crazy/amazing hair day.  On Friday wear blue.  I am proud of Gracyn today because she got started on read to self right away.

Today in math I played Kings Corners with Hadley.  We are learning to cut shapes in half.  I like independent work and teacher table the best.  We go to teacher table last round.  And by we I man Hadley, Gracyn, Colt Lynn, Jacob, Brandon, and Me.  It is third round.  Hadley is doing IXL.  I'm writing this.  Usually I would be doing centers but today I am all done with my math centers.  Next round is teacher table.  Woo hoo!  I absolutely love teacher table!  I'm going to do ninja math now.

Tomorrow wear your favorite color.  Friday no school!  I am proud of Colt Lynn today for not being mad.

Our Fun Day, by Erica

Today people will be coming to our classroom.  We watched Kid President's manners.  Click on the link to watch it!  Gracyn, Cael, Hadley, Ruben, Jaden, Lexie, Aleigh, Ryan, Colt Lynn, Alex, and Brandon all dressed up for a job.  Today we were watching Inside Out for Guidance.

Tomorrow wear clothes for your favorite person.  I am proud of everyone because they were quiet we were eating our cookies.

Fun All Day, by Lane

Today it is dress up as a president or wear read, white, and blue.  Cael and I read together.  We read a lot of books we don't know.

March 25 and 28.  No school.  March 23 2:00 dismissal.

I am proud of Cael today because he was being polite when I was reading.

Battle of the Book, by Jacob

Today we battle Mrs. Hoffart's class.  There is lots of questions.  The questions are about the 10 books we read.  The books were funny!  Mrs. Schlickbernd's class battled Mrs. Sharpe's class yesterday at 1:40.  I hope they won.

March 18 is Trojan Pride activity. I am proud of Cael today because he got started right away.

Today at math we are learning about shapes.  At teacher table we needed to read a card that had words and match them together with a shape.

On 3-18-16 we are doing a Trojan Pride activity.  I am proud of Ruben and Cael today because they got started right away on word work.

Math/Reading, by Hadley

Today in Math we got to make something out of shapes. I made a duck  In second round I did the shape math center.  Now I'm doing Ninja Math.  I got a star. It means you can move to the next level.  Now we are doing reading.  First round I did read to self.  I read the book December Dog.  Second round I did listen to reading.  I read the book Tell Me a Story.  It is a good book  Third round is my teacher tabl.  We are reading a book called Donovan's Word Jar.  We get emotion cards and then we write about it.  Then I go with Mrs. Johnson for circle of friends.  That was my math and reading.

Trojan Pride activity March 18.  I am proud of Lexie today because she let me play with her at recess.

Blog post from 3/11/16: Benny and J'Aunna's Birthday, by Colt Lynn

On Friday it was Benny and J'Aunna's birthday.  J'Aunna brought applesauce.  Benny brought cupcakes.  We got five extra minutes to our recess.  It was fun.  We learned to enjoy natural low sugar treats at a birthday.

March 18, 2016 is a Trojan Pride activity.  I am proud of everyone today because everyone was trying their best at P.E.

Jaden's Birthday and Miss Bower Came, by Gracyn

Today is Jaden's birthday!  He chose Head's Up, Seven Up for his birthday game.  Jaden got a star sticker, a birthday card, and a birthday pencil.  I can tell Jaden is excited about his birthday game.  Before Word Study I wondered what his treats were.  In Head's Up, Seven Up I kept guessing wrong.  Today Miss Bower visited us.  It was fun.  I just found out what Jaden's birthday treats are.  They are cookie bars.  And that was Jaden's birthday day.  Today was fun.

Miss Bower's birthday is 3-19-16.  3-18-16 is a Trojan Pride activity.  I am proud of J'Aunna today because she invited me to play with her at recess.

Math and Lunch, by Yamilet

At math we are learning about AM and PM. and time.  In math we did independent work.  It was about time.  At lunch we are going to eat ham and swiss casserole, peas, celery, wheat roll, and peaches.  It was yummy.  I was too full because I ate the whole tray.  The next recess we played at our club.  We have lots of people in our club.  The other clubs keep stealing our leaves.  We had so many people. it was Simon, Maribel, Angie, Yuna, Adela, Roselin, me and Blake.

Late start on the 14th.  Trojan Pride activity on the 18th.  I am proud of Erica and Roselin today because they were listening to Mr. Johnson when we were doing morning meeting.

Battle of the Books, by Brandon

We are reading . . . Meanwhile, Back at the Ranch.  It was funny. It was about men that wanted to marry and the girl trapped them.  They said, "We'll do anything."  We also read Super Hairo and No Pirates Allowed.

March 14 is a late start.  March 18 is Trojan Pride Activity. I am proud of Ruben today because he was nice to me when he played with me.

Crazy Hair Day! by Adela

Colt Lynn, Hadley, Alexia, Brandon, Gracyn, and Erica did their hair crazy.  After recess Miss Raber read us The Day the Crayons Quit.  My favorite part was the peach crayon because he was naked.  Then on first round I saw Roselin reading.

No school on Friday and Monday.  I am proud of Roselin and Yamilet because they were so nice!  They helped me with a club at recess.

Me and Alex are partners.  We are reading Hop on Pop.  We are good at reading Hop on Pop.  It's funny.

Thursday:  Who-ville hair or Daisy-head Mayzie.  No school on Friday or Monday.  I am proud of Alex today because he did a good job reading the book.

Today we went to the play.  We watched the poems.  The poems were about Where the Sidewalk Ends.  We watched a poem about people in a shoe.

You can wear a book character or zoo animal tomorrow.  I am proud of Cael today because he was working hard.
