Fun Times

Today we learned about shapes.  We sorted the shapes.  We got a new Word Study Think-tac-toe.  We had Plan-do-review time.  In Math it was fun.  We had to make a triangle by using the same shape.  We got a new math page.  Tomorrow is Gabe's birthday.  One group got a chapter book.  Today is Cristopher's birthday.  We are publishing new stories.

What We Did Today

We learned about compound words like seesaw, motorcycle, and gingerbread.  We had a short day and we had two recesses.  We had a late start today.  We celebrated Angel's birthday today.  He brought cookies.

What We Did at School Today

In the morning we did vocab books, then show and tell.  After that we did Talking Time.  That was fun.  Then we did Buddy Test.  We also finished our checklists.  I liked recess.  In small group we did contractions.  It was awesome.  After that we did Math.

Today we made twirly birds.  Some people got out their twirlers.  They had races and tried lots of different things.  In the morning, Mrs. Schlickbernd's class came over.  At the end of the day we went to the Spelling Bee.  I think it was really fun.

What We Learned About

In Math we are learning about subtraction.  In Science, we got new wings for our straws.  They spin very good now.  Some spin fast, some spin slow, and some don't spin at all.  We  had a pep rally in the hallway for Nick.  He is leaving to go to the state wrestling tournament.

Tomorrow is Valentine's Day

Today Mr. Johnson laughed really hard and there is a 2 hour late start on February 20th.  Tomorrow is Valentine's Day.  It will be very, very fun.  We are starting to publish a story that we've written.  In Math we are learning about regrouping ten ones.  Today we had PE and Art.  And we never had Science.  In Reading we're having a story called Dear Mr. Henshaw.

Valentine's Boxes

We decorated our Valentine's boxes today.  We shared our puppet shows with Mrs. Schlickbernd's class.  They liked the shows.  We moved our tables.  We get out at 2:00 today.
