The Tooty-Ta

Today we decorated our door for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.  On our door we put lots of chocolate.  We made a big gummy worm.  It was fun.  Destiny was the calendar helper.  Calendar was fun.  We did feet to tell about Mr. Johnson.  We did the Tooty-ta during writing.

What We did Today

In the morning, David did calendar.  Kaleigh, David, and I had show and tell.  22 chicks hatched, and it was cool.  In Science, we took a pie pan, and play-dough, put the play-dough in the pie pan, and put a crayon in the play-dough.  Then we put the pie pan on two books and put it in the sun.  We thought the crayon would melt.  It didn't.  We tried it two times, but it never worked.

Chicks are Awesome!

We watched a live video about the baby chicks hatching in Mr. Brenn's room.  We are learning about things in the Milky Way and the Milky Way.  We are learning about building 1,000.  In chapter book we read about Nancy and his friend Mac.  Nancy was a boy and Mac was a girl.  Then we read about Steven and Jason, and then about Louis.  We watched the 3rd grade present their poems.  We wrote newsletters today.

Fun Day is Almost Here

In Chapter Book time, Terrance got kicked over the fence.  It was funny.  Fun Day is coming up soon.

In Math

In Math we played a game.  We learned about words in Math.  There was an assembly in the gym.  Mrs. Johnson was our PE teacher.  We switched spots.  Some people stayed at their spot.

Flashlights and Letters

We wrote a letter for Sandy and Bob.  Sandy was our teacher at Ashfall.  Bob was the bus driver who drove us to Ashfall and Grove Lake.  Mrs. Manz is taking people to read.  We had problem of the day in Math.  When I was reading about snakes, I scared Mrs. Soderberg.  I said, "Yuck, I do not like them!"  We went to the library today instead of tomorrow.

Our Field Trip to Ashfall Fossil Beds

We got on the bus right away in the morning.  The ride was fun and bumpy.  First we went to the bathroom and checked out the fossils on the side of the walkway.  We had a snack before we went on the path.  After that we went to the gift shop and visitor's center and learned about fossils from Sandy.  We got to see ash and other fossils and one was from WAKEFIELD!  We put ash on our fingers and held it up in the sunlight.  It sparkled!  We got to check around in the gift shop.  Mr. Johnson brought a rock that looked like it had a coral in it and he showed it to one of the paleontologists.  The paleontologist thought it might have lived before the dinosaurs.  Then we went inside the Rhino Barn.  We saw a lot of fossils in the Rhino Barn.  Then it was time to go to the pond to eat.  After we ate we played at the park, then we climbed the mountain.  Then we went home.  Lots of us went to sleep and fell on the floor.
