Thursday's Blog

In Math we learned what area was.  Then we went to recess.  I went on Roxy's sled.  On Roxy's sled I surfed and I fell every time.  Then we read Ramona the Pest.

We did our morning jobs.  Then we did calendar.  We first did the ones, tens, and hundreds.  After we did the ones, tens and hundreds we did money.  After money we did the date.  Then we did student helpers.  Then we did schedule.  Today was a pretty normal day.  I went to Mrs. Gutzman's.  At Mrs. Gutzman's I did rounding.  Brianna was there too.  After I was done with Mrs. Gutzman I came back to my room.  We did math.  In Math we did measuring with meter sticks.  Then we did the problem of the day.  Then we went to recess.  At recess I went on Roxy's sled.  Then we chose our rounds.  We did the web for Ja'lela for student of the week.  After we did Ja'lela's web, we did Science.  We worked on our vocabulary words, and we observed the butterflies.

Jocelyn's Day Note

Today Ja'lela is Student of the Week.  Ja'lela brought nine picture of the past.  Today in Math we used centimeters and meters.  We measured the lizard Fred.  After Math it was recess time.  I played with Roxy, Ryan, Gaby, and Madison on Roxy's sled.  We went to Music.  When we came back Mr. Johnson read the book, we made our plans, and washed our hands, then went to lunch.  We had chili cheese fries.  We went to second recess.  Then we came back inside and did rounds 1, 2, and 3.  We went to our very last recess.  We got snack and had Guidance.  After that Miss Montgomery taught us synonyms.  We did Science.  Then we did last round.  Then we packed up, said the ticket out, and went home.

Butterflies Are Here!

Today the butterflies emerged.  We were getting our books.  We did Word Study instead of Math.  Then recess.  In P.E. we did scooters.  We did scribblepress on the iPad.  Then we packed up to go.

Walker's Blog from Wednesday

Today in Critical Thinking we learned about volume, and after that we had writing.  People can ask friends if they want to be in their story.  We had no Author's Chair.  We had a lot of time today to write.  Eliseo asked me if I can be in his story.  But I did not know what it was about.  Then we moved into Science.  Then we moved into 4th round.  I worked on our cave.  We had 15 minutes. Jack helped too.  We did a lot of talking about what we should do to make it 3D.  We had to tell the ticket out when we went home.

In the morning we did the health run.  It was fun.  We did Calendar.  In Calendar we did straws, money, and student helpers.  We went to recess.  It was inside recess.  It was fun.  Then we went to Music.  In Music we drew some notes.  It was a little hard.  Then we did our plans.  Then we washed our hands.  Today lunch was ham sandwich, carrots, tomatoes and apples.  It was good.  Then we went to our second recess.  I played with the blocks.  It was fun.  Then Mrs. Chase said if second grade wanted to run.  We had to do two laps.  Then we did first round.  I went to Mrs. Manz's.  We read a book about ibis.  It was a whale.  It was a true whale story.
