We did our jobs.  We did calendar.  We did ones, tens, and hundreds in Math.  We went to recess.  We went to P.E.  In P.E. we ran 20 laps.  We are reading Charlotte's Web.  We are on Chapter 5.  It is called Charlotte.  We went to lunch.  Today's lunch was beef nachos, watermelon, beans, and green pepper.  We did milk count.  We did Writing.  In Writing, we did our writing conference. 

Today is Halloween.

We did Calendar in English and Spanish.  Then we did a Math game.  We saw Charlottes Web at the theater.  It was really good!  We did round 1, round 2, and round 3, in Reading.  We did Guidance.  In Science we ate ice cream.  Then we did word study.

Tomorrow is Halloween!!  Bring your costumes to school.

We Like Pajama Day!

Today was Pajama Day.  We learned what "next ten" means in Math.  We read with Mrs. Schlickbernd's class.  Almost everybody wore their pajamas.  We got to go outside first recess.  Miss Soares and Miss C. were here.  We had Library.  We got to guess how many M&Ms and how many there were of each color in Science.  We read Charlotte's Web.  It snowed today.  It was really cool.  We had a pep rally.  We helped make a tunnel.

We did calendar.  We had to do a Problem of the Day in Math.  Then in Math we did our rounds.  We did P.E.  Then we had lunch.  We had recess inside.

The Charlotte's Web play is next week on Monday and Tuesday.

Today we went to Mrs. Schlickbernd's class to look at hot air balloon pictures.  Mrs. Schlickbernd got to ride in a hot air balloon on Saturday.  Then we did calendar.  Then we read student helpers.  The helpers were Eliseo, Tryden, Walker, me, and Makenna.  Walker and Eliseo got iPad or iPod.  Makenna had computer.  In Math we learned new games.

We did Calendar.  It was fun.  Today is Grandparent's Day.  We had P.E.  Grandparent's Day was fun.  We played math games.  We did SMART table and SMARTBoard.  We played Cherry Pie.  It was a great day!

Notes for Today

Today I got here at lunchtime.  We had sloppy joe's for lunch.  We read about how we farm now and back then.  The balloon coloring contest winners were announced this afternoon.  We had small group reading time.  We worked on our hot air balloons.  Some people got done.

We had a two hour late start.  Ja'lela, Andrea, and Gaby had sharing.  We did Math.  We talked about a dollar coin.  We had lunch.  We only had two recesses.  In Word Study, we brainstormed i consonant e words (like price).  We had P.E.  It was fun.  We only had three rounds of small groups.  We read from our Jack and Annie book (Magic Tree House).  We worked on our balloons.

We LOVED the Care Center!

We went to the Care Center this morning and it was great!  We had fun reading to the residents!  Check out our pictures below!

Today's snack was bananas.  We are doing our letters to Gaby.  We did Author's Chair.  We did Science.  We did our last round of small groups.

Tomorrow we are going to the Care Center.

Second Grade had a Great Day!

We did Calendar, but Andrea was sick.  We wrote in our Math Journals.  It was about money.  We did Math.  It was about money and we got to do Xtra Math.  Then we did recess.  We read Jack and Annie.  Then we all ate lunch.  Then it was lunch recess.  Then we got in our groups.  Than another recess.  We all wrote Gaby's letter.  Then Critical Thinking.  We did computers.  Then it was time to go.

Grandparents Day is next Friday.
