Thanksgiving Vacation

We have no school on the 28th and 29th and we don't come back until December 2nd.  So we get 4 days off.  We finished the book Shiloh and it was good.  We had recess and at recess we played games.  In Music we sang our Christmas songs.  In Math we did a lot of playing games.  We watched a video about the first Thanksgiving.

We get out early on the 27th of November.

Blue Ribbon Day

We had Talking Time.  Katie is excited.  Micheala is going to stay with her grandma and grandpa.  Jordan is excited.  Airam shared that her neighbor fixed her T.V.  Maritza shared that she got a new bed. We had Author's Chair.  Monday people shared their stories.  We had lunch.  Lunch was turkey, mashed potatoes, whole grain roll, and pumpkin pie.  We had read aloud. We are reading Shiloh.  In Shiloh we are on Chapter 13.  Tuesday people shared for Author's Chair.  Wednesday people also shared.  We got our blue ribbon shirts. We did a second grade blue ribbon picture.  We got to take a picture with the whole elementary.  We had a ceremony.  It was fun.

On Wednesday the 27th, we get out early.  I am proud of myself today because I was listening in the ceremony.

Blue Ribbon School

We wrote about Thanksgiving.  We had to get them done because people are coming to school tomorrow.

Don't forget that tomorrow is the Blue Ribbon Ceremony.

Best Day Ever!

Today Mr. Johnson is telling us what we have in Math.  Today in Math we are answering the questions on our Math test.  They were addition questions.

The Blue Ribbon Ceremony is coming on Friday at 2:00.

I am proud of me today because I did my blue ribbon sheet good.

Tuesday's Blog Post

We had show and tell.  Show and tell is fun because people get to bring anything they want as long as it is not a fake weapon.  Airam brought a stuffed doggie in a stocking.  She said she really likes it.  She also brought a glow ring.  Gannon told about his Nebraska helmet.  He said that he is going to make it look like it goes with his black jersey.  Ashlyn told about her picture book.  She said it had a picture of her cousins.  Jack S. brought toy cars.  He said he has a big track he races them on.  Joe brought a stuffed dog.  His stuffed dog's name is Spot.  Maritza told about her mom.  She is going to see her some time this week.  Now it is time for Math.  In Math my group had meet with the teacher.  Then my group had independent work.  At 9:30 some of us went to Mrs. Gutzman's room.  In her room we worked on our secret number project.

The Blue Ribbon Ceremony is on Friday.

I am proud of myself today because I listened the whole morning.

Late Start

Today we are going to celebrate Joe's birthday.  We had P.E.  In P.E. we played line tag.  We also had Guidance.  We learned to not bully.

On Friday we get out at 3:10.

I am proud of Joe today because he is eight.

USA School

We had Calendar.  Today is the 15th.  It was Airam's birthday.  Today is the 64th day of school.  We had Talking Time.  I am going to go to my Aunt's house.  Jack is going to a birthday party.  Ashlyn is excited.  Tristian got a chair.  Isaac likes to design things.  Airam can't wait to go to go home.  Jordan is excited.  Joe can't wait until tomorrow.  Mr. Johnson is going to do a list for Christmas.  Katie has a stocking hat.  Maritza is going to a birthday.  Jeremiah has lego blocks.  We played a game for Airam's birthday.

I am proud of soldiers today because they protect us.

A Day at School

In my group we are messing with plaster.  Caleb is student of the week.  We are going to buy and sell today.

A Day at School

Today we have a substitute.  Today is technology Tuesday for me and my class.  In Social Studies we are making products for a game.  The game we are playing is producer and consumer.  We pretend that we buy and sell stuff.

Today's date is a little funny because it's 11-12-2013 and if you take the 20 away it is 11-12-13.

I am proud of my class because we work hard on our products.

Monday's Blog

We did Talking Time.  At Talking Time we shared stories.  We went to P.E.  At P.E. we played Construct, Popsicles, and we picked a card.  We did Guidance.  In Guidance we watched a movie.  The movie was Popcorn Park.  

Today it was Veteran's Day.

I am proud of Veterans because it is Veteran's Day.

Care Center Day

Today we got to go to the Care Center.  We got candy at the Care Center.  We had lunch.  For lunch we had soup, crackers, grape juice, and our milk.  We did read aloud.  We read Jackson's book.

Remember we have a late start on November 18.

I am proud of the volleyball girls because they are almost to state.

School Day

We did Calendar.  In Calendar we did the temperature, fact families, and we rounded to the nearest 10 and the nearest 100 and other stuff.  Ashlyn shared that she opened her present but she didn't like it so her mom took it back to the store.  Jack S. shared that he is excited for today because instead of having a cub scout meeting they are going somewhere.  Joe shared that this weekend if there is snow he is going to go sledding but if not he is going to pick up leaves.  Airam shared that this weekend her cousins are coming all the way from Mexico to visit.  Gannon shared that he was going to bring his number that he had in the Coca-cola run.  We had Math.  In Math we had a test.  We had Music.  In Music we learned our Christmas songs.  Jack P. shared his bulletin board.  He brought a huge Beanie Boo.  We didn't have time for read aloud today.  In read aloud we are reading Shiloh.  Which is funny because there is a song in Music that we do an d this is how it goes:  Bounce high, bounce low, bounce the ball to Shiloh.  We did Daily Four. First round I did Word Study, second round I did Read to Self, third round I did Work on Writing, and fourth round I did journal.  In Word Study I did blue vowels.  I Read to Self I read Riding Freedom, in Work on Writing I worked on the Daily Blog post.  In journal I wrote that I was blogger.  Technology is when you get an iPad and you do something challenging.  In technology we played the word wall game.  The word for the word wall game was machine.  The word for the next game was where.  We had milk and snack.  I didn't want milk and I forgot to bring snack so I just sat there.  We did read aloud.  We read Shiloh.  It is a good book.  Every day before we leave from school we put our pencil baskets on our drawers and then the next morning if we have school we get to pick our own seats.  If Mr. Johnson thinks we can't handle where we're sitting he'll move us.  We did quiet ten.  That is when you write for ten minutes without talking.  I worked on my blog post during quiet ten.  I love to be daily blogger because I love writing and I love keeping track of what we do all day long.  I love trying to write long blogs.  In Social Studies we bought and sold stuff.  The people that are buying are consumers.  The people that are selling stuff are producers.  It is the end of the day.  Student helpers:  Line Leader was Jaxton, Calendar Helper was Jeremiah, Plant Waterer was Michaela, Teacher's Helper was Katie, Chair Stacker was Caleb, Caboose was Tristian, Daily Blogger was Jordan, Computer was Joe.

You have to have your Sticker Story done by Friday.

We made our rotations.  We did the pledge.  Katie was calendar helper today.  We had talking time.  Ashlyn shared that it was almost her birthday.  Gannon is going to run the Coca-Cola Run.  Jack shared that next week he is student of the week.  Jack is going to his friend's house.  Katie shared that she is going to stay home with her dad.  Tristian went to a haunted house.  Mr. Johnson shared that he had a good time trick or treating.  Airam and Martiza got hot dogs.  Caleb went trick or treating.  We talked about drugs.  We had Math.  We are doing a walk around game in Math.  We had recess.  We did Music.  We did second recess.  It was fun.  We did round 1.  We did round 2.
