Red Ribbon Week, by Hadley

It is Red Ribbon Week.  Today it is mismatch day.  It's our fifty-third day of school.  Today we decorated pumpkins.  We made them into our favorite book character.

Halloween Day tomorrow.  Bring your halloween costume.

I am proud of Aleigha and Roselin today because they're trying their best in math.

Red Day! by Gracyn

Today is red day for no drugs.  Our class wore red today.  In Science, we are learning a new topic.  We learned how scientists find out answers.  They predict and observe.  In writing we were finding  facts and details about our topic we chose.

Tomorrow is mismatch clothes/crazy hair day.  Friday is Halloween Day.  Bring your Halloween costume.

I am proud of myself because I got a green ticket from Mr. Wulf for behaving.

PJ Day, by Colt Lynn

Today was great because we got to wear our PJs and bring a stuffed animal.  These are the animals:  black cat, reindeer, cat, dogs, bears, seal, monkey, a frog, and a goose.

Red Day is Wednesday.  Wear as much red as you can.  On Thursday is mismatch clothes and crazy hair day.  On Friday we have the Halloween Parade.

I am proud of everyone because they were very quiet during the drug free pledge.

The Two New Symbols, by Ruben

Today the class started a new symbol.  We learned about Mount Rushmore and the Washington Monument.  The Washington Monument has an elevator.  Mount Rushmore took 14 years to finish.

There is a 2:00 dismissal on Friday.  No school on Monday.

I am proud of Cael today because he said sorry to me at the health run.

What I Did Today, by Adela

Today Ruben and I did Word Work.  Then Jaden and I read together.  Then I went to Mrs. Schlickbernd's class.  Megan and I read a tarantula book and we learned where they live.  Then we went to recess. Then Mr. Johnson read us a book about Ramona.  Then we went to Mrs. Schlickbernd's class for writing.  Then after writing we did Guidance.

2:00 dismissal on Friday.  No school on October 26.  Book orders due 10-21-15.

I am proud of Erica today because she know how to go on the gliders now.

Blog from 10-16-15: The Cool Kite, by Mahlik

Today we were at school.  We got to do Kite Races and got to see cool kites at school.  It was fun!  It can spin, it can swoop, and go fast.  Sometimes it comes at you.  I want it!  It is cool!

Today was Grandparents Day.  I had fun.

I am proud of Brandon because he was being a good friend.


New Writing, by Cael

We are working on a new writing.  It is called Informational Writing.  We will write facts.

On Monday we are having no school.

I am proud of Jacob Birkley because he was playing baseball with me and it was fun.

What We Did Today, by Roselin

At recess I played on the gliders.  At second recess I played on the swings.  On third recess I played on the monkey bars.  In the classroom I worked on centers.  I have fun and I love writing.  It is fun with Mrs. Y.  I will work.  At the end of the day I go home.

Grandparent's Day is tomorrow.  At Grandparent's Day we eat lunch and it is yummy.  Everyone will like it tomorrow.

I am proud of J'Aunna today because she was a good person.  She shared chalk today outside.

Greater Than and Less Than Numbers, by Jaden

In small group we learned about bigger and smaller numbers.  We also learned about greater than signs and less than signs.  The greater number is the bigger number and the less than number is the smaller number.

Balloon Days are this weekend.  Friday is Grandparent's Day.

I am proud of Hadley today because she was a good friend because she was quiet while Gracyn did milk count.

The Fun Game, by Alexia

Today we learned to play a blends game.  We had to roll a blends dice, then he had to roll how many spaces we had to go.  We had to say a word with the blend.  It was super fun!  P.S. Ruben won at our table.

10-16-15 is Grandparent's Day.  I am proud of everyone today for being good sports during the game.  Also because they were quiet during writing.

Today it seemed like it was going really short.  We did the American Flag in Social Studies.  All of Mrs. Soderberg's groups got together.  At last recess we were the only ones outside.

We are having a short day on Monday.  We did first round.  For proof Mahlik and Colton are doing read to self.

Grandparent's Day is 10-16-15.

I am proud of Ruben and Cael today because they let me be goalie.


Going to the Care Center, by Colton

Today we went to the Care Center to read to the residents.  When we got done reading we went back in line.  When it was over we went back to school and did normal stuff.

Next week on Friday is Grandparent's Day, on October 16th.

I am proud of everybody today for being nice to the residents at the Care Center.

Today we were writing our opinions.  Today the police officers came and we got to see the cars.   They came because Mrs. Schlickbernd's class wrote letters to them.  Then we went to writing.

We go to the Care Center on Friday.  October 12 is a late start, and October 16 is Grandparent's Day.

I am proud of Lane and Adela today because they did a good job working.

Today we learned new math centers and reading centers.  The class was being very quiet.  We do math centers in the morning.
