Things We Did and Learned About Today

Today in Math we were supposed to finish our subtraction with regrouping page.  Today in P.E.  we did Whiffle Ball.  In Morning Meeting Alli asked a question.   Today we finished Little House on the Prairie.  

April 29, we will be going to Ashfall Fossil Beds.  I am proud of Brynn and Stephanie today because they finished their math centers.

4-22-15: Music, by Ceilus

Today we had Music.  In Music we practiced actions for our songs.  Our songs are The Dateline Song, The Locomotion, Doo Wha Diddy Diddy and Monster Mash.  Next Wednesday April 29, 2nd grade will go to Ashfall Fossil Beds.  I am proud of Isabella because she did a center with me.

4/23/15: Guidance, by Alli

Today in Guidance we did a crossword puzzle.  We could work together or by ourself.

April 29 we are going to Ashfall.  I am proud of Dorothy today for not being mad when she was it.

4/20/15: This Morning, by Isabella

Andy was calendar helper.  Part of my class went to Mrs. Schlickbernd's room and read and did calendar.  Mayton was the calendar helper.

On April 29 both second grade classes go to Ashfall Fossil Beds.  I am proud of Ceilus today because he toughed it out when he hit himself.

Read Aloud, by Timothy

In read aloud we are reading Little House on the Prairie.  The chapter we are reading is called "Mr. Edwards meets Santa Clause.  Mr. Edwards swam across the river.

Monday, April 20th will be a 2 hour later start.  I am proud of Andy today because he finished his word graph-iti.

In Math we did our groups.  I did a letter.  I did IXL and Math.  Then meet with teacher.  I learned about liters in Math.

Today Brynn did Calendar.  At recess I played with my cousin Evelyn.  In Guided Reading I did word work with Brynn.

Monday April 20th will be a late start.  April 29th is a field trip to Ashfall Fossil Beds.  I am proud of Mr. Johnson because he makes us learn.

4-14-15: Things we did in School, by Stephanie

Today Alli was calendar helper.  For P.E. we played whiffle ball.  We got to choose our own partner.  I also had all meet with teacher.  In math it was fun because we got to play with food.  Brynn, Dorothy, and me were lunch bunch.  For lunch bunch we were talking a lot and it made me smile.  Today's lunch was hotdog, carrots, and pears.

On Monday April 20, there will be a late start.  I am proud of Elizabeht today because she almost finished a game with Mrs. Kluthe.

4/13/15: Recess, by Brynn

Today at recess we played Jealous.  It is a fun game.  I played with Alli, Ceilus, Mikkie, Dorothy, Isabella, and Taylor.

I am proud of everyone today because they wrote a poem.

Stuff that Happened in P.E., by Andy

In P.E. we played baseball and we played run-through baseball.  There was a person that was learning how to be a P.E. teacher.

Today in math we did centers.  Mr. Johnson put glue on the puzzle pieces.  When we did the puzzle we put it outside.

Tomorrow we go to the Care Center.  I am proud of Brynn today because she finished her published story.

4-8-15: Math, by Alli

Today in Math we did a video with a turtle and square units.  In math groups we have 3 rounds.  First I had meet with teacher.  Then I had independent work.  During choice time you can do math centers or IXL.

On the 10th we are going to the Care Center.  I am proud of Brynn today for saying sorry when she didn't mean to hit Isabella.

4-7-15: Art and Snack, by Ceilus

Today we went to Art.  In Art we colored Disney pictures and free drew.  After Art we went to snack.  For snack we had grapes.

April 10 we have Care Center.  I am proud of everyone today because they worked hard on their stories.

Today we went fo a walk at 8:30.  When we got back we did calendar.  Andy was calendar helper.  We did a money sheet page, a more and less page and a nearest ten page.  In P.E. we did partner run, animal movements and soccer.  In writer's workshop I illustrated my book.  In Guidance we watched Caring in Popcorn Park.

No school April 3-6.  I am proud of Ceilus today because he held my hand when I got scared.
