Today I am reading a book called Shark Swimathon.  We are going to the library today on the bus.  At the library we read a book called The Very Hairy Christmas.  Our snack is chips today.  It is yummy.

Last day of school on December 22, 2015.  I am proud of Erica today because she worked with me kindly in math today.

The Best Day Ever, by Mahlik

Today I read a book with Colton.  On the fourth round I will meet with our teacher.  Today we started our poetry folder.  Today I played soccer.  Today for science we are playing Animal Trait Bingo.  I made a bingo during the game.

On the twenty second it will be the last day of school before Christmas Break.  Tomorrow we will have a Trojan Pride activity.

I am proud of Marvin today for keeping a good eye on us.

Today we had music and we watched a movie.  We had lunch.  We ate good food.  We did word study and it was funny.

On Friday we have a Trojan Pride activity.  I am proud of Adela today because she was nice to me and she played with me.

First we did calendar.  The calendar helper was Jacob.  Next we did math.  Third, we did recess.  For Guidance, we watched a movie called Inside Out.  We are watching this movie because it shows us how to do friendship.

Christmas break starts on the 22nd.  I am proud of Lexie today because she did her job correctly.

Another Late Start Day, by Aleigha

Today is a late start day.  After morning meeting we had lunch.  Usually after morning meeting we have math groups, but instead we had lunch.  The class is trying to come up with "ag" words.  Marvin was sick over the weekend.  He did not move, he stayed where he was before.  For snacks we had chips and brownies.  It was Ross's birthday party.  

On December 18 there is going to be a Trojan Pride activity.  I am proud of Hadley today for getting started right away with Listen to Reading.

Miss Bower's Last Day By: Alexia Weaver

Today is sadly Miss Bowers last. BOO HOO! I don't want her to leave. She's and awesome teacher. Today is care center day, but Miss Bowers last time with us. Yansy is Miss Bower's stuffed animal, he travels with her. She also takes a picture everywhere she travels. She took one with us. Now were doing morning meeting. The question is what are you going to miss the most about Miss Bower? I said trying to tickle her. Our good morning is a fist bump. Now we're reading our care center books. After the care center we went to recess. After we had P.E. Then we got a pizza party! Next we did recess. Now we got poetry folders. We get to decorate them! We're doing our rounds. First round I did read to someone with Hadley. For second round I did read to self. In third round i did work on writing. Fourth round I meet with Miss Bower to publish this writing. After third round we have recess. Then we have milk, snack, and read aloud. Soon after we will go to writing. Miss Bower got to open up presents. After we have library. Next we do round four.

We got gift bags and a blank book, so we can make our own book.

Our Day by: Colton Hanak

Today our class had four rotations. Faith, Mahlik, and I are playing a game called spys and bandits. Mahlik is the bandit, Faith and I are the spys. Today Faith and I played tag.

Tonight is the Christmas concert. Be here at 6:45.
Tomorrow is Miss Bower's last day.

I am proud of everyone today for being quiet.

Gingerbread Fun by: Erica Lopez Ramos

During show and tell we shared about nonliving and living things. The preschool are finding gingerbread men and they shouldn't make a big mess. The other day we made a snowflake, we took our snowflake from the cup to dry. This day is a little goofy. We saw gingerbread crumbs in our class. Today Mrs Hight made a trap for the gingerbread men. The gingerbread men tied Marvin up in the lights. The gingerbread men were naughty and they are in trouble.

Tomorrow is the Christmas concert.

This morning we went to map testing. Everybody got done! Then we did math centers. Now we are making snowflakes. It was fun.

A Normal Day, by Lane

For Morning Meeting we got to share whatever we wanted.  Then we went to Math.  We had reading in the afternoon.  Colton and I are making a book.  In Science we learned about habitats.  Miss Bower and Mr. Johnson had a good day.

Our Christmas Concert is on the 10th.  We are going to read to residents of the Care Center next week on Friday.

I am proud of Brandon today because he was being nice to everyone.

Regrouping, by Eduardo

Today at Math we learned to regroup at small group.  Then at guided reading I was doing word work.  At word study we filled in the third column and filled in more words.  With Mrs. Soderberg we did nouns and verbs.

Next Friday we go to the Care Center.

I am proud of both 2nd grades today because we finished informational writing.

Another Mixed Up Day, by Hadley

Today we had another mixed up day.  We had lunch after Morning Meeting.  Normally we have Math after Morning Meeting.  Today we tried to make words out of "op" for example, flop.  Today I did Journal.  I wrote about my elf on the shelf.  I like how he got on to the fan.  Today we started a new story.  The name of the book is Christmas in Camelot.  We are learning about the food chain!  We made a food chain!  We hung them on the window.

Remember to bring food for the food drive.

I am proud of Roselin today because she was working hard in word study.

Late Start Day, by Gracyn

Today we had a late start.  Our class had a crazy day.  We have two recesses today and lunch when we usually have Math.  In Science we are learning about what animals and plants need to survive.  We had Word Study at 1:35 today and we learned a new way to do word study.

We go to the Care Center next week on 12-11-15.  Our Christmas Concert is December 10th at 7:00.

I am proud of my class today because I think all of us liked the new way to do word study.
