Thursday's Blog

In Math we learned what area was.  Then we went to recess.  I went on Roxy's sled.  On Roxy's sled I surfed and I fell every time.  Then we read Ramona the Pest.

We did our morning jobs.  Then we did calendar.  We first did the ones, tens, and hundreds.  After we did the ones, tens and hundreds we did money.  After money we did the date.  Then we did student helpers.  Then we did schedule.  Today was a pretty normal day.  I went to Mrs. Gutzman's.  At Mrs. Gutzman's I did rounding.  Brianna was there too.  After I was done with Mrs. Gutzman I came back to my room.  We did math.  In Math we did measuring with meter sticks.  Then we did the problem of the day.  Then we went to recess.  At recess I went on Roxy's sled.  Then we chose our rounds.  We did the web for Ja'lela for student of the week.  After we did Ja'lela's web, we did Science.  We worked on our vocabulary words, and we observed the butterflies.

Jocelyn's Day Note

Today Ja'lela is Student of the Week.  Ja'lela brought nine picture of the past.  Today in Math we used centimeters and meters.  We measured the lizard Fred.  After Math it was recess time.  I played with Roxy, Ryan, Gaby, and Madison on Roxy's sled.  We went to Music.  When we came back Mr. Johnson read the book, we made our plans, and washed our hands, then went to lunch.  We had chili cheese fries.  We went to second recess.  Then we came back inside and did rounds 1, 2, and 3.  We went to our very last recess.  We got snack and had Guidance.  After that Miss Montgomery taught us synonyms.  We did Science.  Then we did last round.  Then we packed up, said the ticket out, and went home.

Butterflies Are Here!

Today the butterflies emerged.  We were getting our books.  We did Word Study instead of Math.  Then recess.  In P.E. we did scooters.  We did scribblepress on the iPad.  Then we packed up to go.

Walker's Blog from Wednesday

Today in Critical Thinking we learned about volume, and after that we had writing.  People can ask friends if they want to be in their story.  We had no Author's Chair.  We had a lot of time today to write.  Eliseo asked me if I can be in his story.  But I did not know what it was about.  Then we moved into Science.  Then we moved into 4th round.  I worked on our cave.  We had 15 minutes. Jack helped too.  We did a lot of talking about what we should do to make it 3D.  We had to tell the ticket out when we went home.

In the morning we did the health run.  It was fun.  We did Calendar.  In Calendar we did straws, money, and student helpers.  We went to recess.  It was inside recess.  It was fun.  Then we went to Music.  In Music we drew some notes.  It was a little hard.  Then we did our plans.  Then we washed our hands.  Today lunch was ham sandwich, carrots, tomatoes and apples.  It was good.  Then we went to our second recess.  I played with the blocks.  It was fun.  Then Mrs. Chase said if second grade wanted to run.  We had to do two laps.  Then we did first round.  I went to Mrs. Manz's.  We read a book about ibis.  It was a whale.  It was a true whale story.

Roxy's Blog

Today is a late start day.  It was a weird day.  We did talking time.  That is when we pull names and talk when it is your turn.  We switched spots today.  I sit by Andrea and Ryan.  After that we had lunch.  We had chicken nuggets, corn, wheat rolls, strawberries.  After lunch we had recess.  I played statues.  We did first round.  I met with Mr. Johnson.  We did P.E.  We ran for three minutes.  We also did push-ups and sit-ups.  Then we played with the parachute.  After P.E. we did Author's Chair.  Andrea and I both shared.  Then we did second round.  I read with Ryan.  On third round I worked on the blog.  After third round we did science.  We observed our meal worms.  We also moved our caterpillars into the butterfly house!  They're in their cocoons!

In Math we had a math test.  Today it is snowing.  We had lunch.  In lunch we had chili, cinnamon rolls, celery, carrots, and grape juice.  Then we went to recess.

We did the Health Run.  When Mr. Wendte blew the whistle we all went back to our classroom.  Then we had Math.  In Math, Roxy, me, Kenna, Jack, and Tryden worked on our Math board game.  Roxy is almost done with hers.  Then it was our first recess.  I played tag.  It was fun.  Then we went straight to Music.  We played the game "Cupid."  It was really fun.  After that we read Ramona the Pest.  Then we made our plans and washed our hands and went to lunch.  It was good.  When lunch was over we went to recess.  It was fun.  Then we had language arts block.  I was with Mrs. Schlickbernd.  We read Stone Fox.  It is a good book.  Then we had Guidance.  We talked about feelings.  Then it was Writing.  After Writing it was Science.  We learned about animals.  Then it was our last round.  I did Word Study.  Then we packed up and went home.  Today was Makenna's half-birthday.

In Math we went to another class.  They read to us.  Then we went to music.  After Music we went to recess.  I played with Jack, Tryden, Caleb, and Isaiah.

Today we went to recess.  I played with Gaby, Andrea, and Eliseo.  We came back and went to P.E.  In P.E. we exercised and made a tent.  Then Mr. Johnson read.  Today's lunch  was chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, homemade buns, and strawberries.  We also had Critical Thinking.  In it we played a game called Time Flies.  Then we went to a fun assembly and it was about the rain forest.  We got to see lizards, a spider, a bird, and a snake.  We got milk and snack after that.  We did round four and got dismissed.

Early out on Thursday and no school on Friday.

Woo-hoo Friday!

Today we did the Health Run.  In the Health Run I ran with Roxy and Madison.  Then we did Calendar.  It was fun.  Mr. Johnson showed some new apps on the iPad for his show and tell.  After Show and Tell we did Talking Time.  I said that I am going somewhere on Sunday to get a wedding dress because I am a Junior bridesmaid.  It is Gaby' half-birthday and we got cupcakes.
