Thanksgiving Vacation

We have no school on the 28th and 29th and we don't come back until December 2nd.  So we get 4 days off.  We finished the book Shiloh and it was good.  We had recess and at recess we played games.  In Music we sang our Christmas songs.  In Math we did a lot of playing games.  We watched a video about the first Thanksgiving.

We get out early on the 27th of November.

Blue Ribbon Day

We had Talking Time.  Katie is excited.  Micheala is going to stay with her grandma and grandpa.  Jordan is excited.  Airam shared that her neighbor fixed her T.V.  Maritza shared that she got a new bed. We had Author's Chair.  Monday people shared their stories.  We had lunch.  Lunch was turkey, mashed potatoes, whole grain roll, and pumpkin pie.  We had read aloud. We are reading Shiloh.  In Shiloh we are on Chapter 13.  Tuesday people shared for Author's Chair.  Wednesday people also shared.  We got our blue ribbon shirts. We did a second grade blue ribbon picture.  We got to take a picture with the whole elementary.  We had a ceremony.  It was fun.

On Wednesday the 27th, we get out early.  I am proud of myself today because I was listening in the ceremony.

Blue Ribbon School

We wrote about Thanksgiving.  We had to get them done because people are coming to school tomorrow.

Don't forget that tomorrow is the Blue Ribbon Ceremony.

I am proud of my class because we finished our Blue Ribbon writing.

Best Day Ever!

Today Mr. Johnson is telling us what we have in Math.  Today in Math we are answering the questions on our Math test.  They were addition questions.

The Blue Ribbon Ceremony is coming on Friday at 2:00.

I am proud of me today because I did my blue ribbon sheet good.

Tuesday's Blog Post

We had show and tell.  Show and tell is fun because people get to bring anything they want as long as it is not a fake weapon.  Airam brought a stuffed doggie in a stocking.  She said she really likes it.  She also brought a glow ring.  Gannon told about his Nebraska helmet.  He said that he is going to make it look like it goes with his black jersey.  Ashlyn told about her picture book.  She said it had a picture of her cousins.  Jack S. brought toy cars.  He said he has a big track he races them on.  Joe brought a stuffed dog.  His stuffed dog's name is Spot.  Maritza told about her mom.  She is going to see her some time this week.  Now it is time for Math.  In Math my group had meet with the teacher.  Then my group had independent work.  At 9:30 some of us went to Mrs. Gutzman's room.  In her room we worked on our secret number project.

The Blue Ribbon Ceremony is on Friday.

I am proud of myself today because I listened the whole morning.

Late Start

Today we are going to celebrate Joe's birthday.  We had P.E.  In P.E. we played line tag.  We also had Guidance.  We learned to not bully.

On Friday we get out at 3:10.

I am proud of Joe today because he is eight.
