Shopping Day!

Today we spent time shopping at the stores we designed.  Next week we will use our experiences in making the stores, buying needs and wants, and selling things to talk about words like resources, supply, demand, goods, services, and products.  Ask your child about what they have already learned about how to spend and earn money.

In Social Studies we are building our stores.  I am making a sports store and I am making a store by myself.  I am done.  Cael and Lane's store is a sport and a country store.  The stores are fun.

Library books are due on Friday!  I am proud of Cael today because he was working hard on his center.

Today we did calendar.  Ruben was calendar helper.  We were doing morning meeting.  Alex was teacher's helper.  Right now we are doing math.  After math it is recess.  For lunch we are going to have Italian dunkers, lettuce, and peaches.  We are doing word study.  We are learning more words.  At Mr. Johnson's group we are working on our puppets.  For snack we had animal crackers.  After snack it will be writer's workshop.  we are doing presentations.  We are doing guidance.  We are watching an Arthur movie.  Then we did social studies.  We are working on our stores.

On February 19, our Wayne State College friends are coming.  I am proud of Jacob today because he was working hard on math.

Adela was calendar helper.  We have three people that are doing sharing.  Gracyn brought a lion, Aleigha brought a pink bear, and Mahlik brought a light saber.  Then we made our plans and washed our hands for lunch. Then we had recess. Alexia played with me. After that we had a birthday.  It was Mahlik's birthday. We had cookies.  They were good.  Then we did word study. Then we went to music. He had recess. Then we did Mahlik's birthday game! Then we went to art and that is our day!

Remember to read Where the Sidewalk Ends this week.  I am proud of Erica, Lane, and Lexie today because they were being nice and sharing the squishy seats.

Today is our Valentine's Party day.  We are going to eat valentine's from our Valentine bags.  Today we also are going to the Care Center.  We might make Valentine's with the elderly but me might read with the elderly.  I am going to read a Fly Guy book.  Mr. Johnson gave us partners for practicing our books for the Care Center.  My partner was Aleigha.  I have sharing today.  I brought my lion.  The lion's heart says "I'm not lion you're grrreat."  Then we ate a piece of candy from our bags.  I had a laffy taffy from Jacob.  Then we did 2 rounds.  Lane and Ruben did Listen to Reading.  After that Mr. Johnson said we might get to eat another piece of candy.  After that we do closing circle and go home.  That was our day.

February 15 is a late start.  I am proud of myself today because I got the runner of the day trophy.

First, we did calendar.  Next we did morning meeting.  Then we did math.  After math we went to P.E.  We played a new game.  Then we went to lunch.  For lunch we had fruits, fish, and milk.  It was good.  Next we did word study.  When we were done doing word study we did guided reading.  Next we went to recess.  It was inside because it was too cold.  Then we did writer's workshop.  Colt Lynn, Ryan, and Jocelyn did their presentations.  Then we had guidance.  Then we did social studies.  Next we did closing circle. Then we go home.  Three other people did their presentation and it was Megan, Jordan, and Anthony.

I am proud of Adela today because she was listening when we did morning meeting.

Today is Alexia's Birthday, by Colt Lynn

Today is Alexia's birthday.  She decided her game was Head's Up, Seven Up.  It was fun.  At recess I go trampled. It was painful.  Today was fun.

February 15 is a late start.  February 11 is parent-teacher conference.  February 12 is no school.  I am proud of Alexia today because she was nice to me.
